Cleveland Clinic Earns Top National Rankings
Named among the nation's best hospitals, according to U.S. News & World Report, Cleveland Clinic is ranked 4th in the country. Twelve Cleveland Clinic programs were listed among the top 10 in the U.S., including Neurology and Neurosurgery, which ranked 6th nationwide. More than 4,800 hospitals were assessed, and only 174 scored high enough to be ranked in even one category.
In July, the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas began seeing its first patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease. When additional Cleveland Clinic doctors join the staff in September, the Center will begin seeing patients suffering from other neurological diseases. In just a few short months, the Center expects to see more than 100 patients each day.
"This is great news for Las Vegas," said Las Vegas city Mayor Oscar B. Goodman. "The partnership between Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute and the Keep Memory Alive Foundation is our city's most significant and positive medical development in recent history."
"We are pleased to be able to provide the citizens of Las Vegas with the finest medical care possible for neurological diseases, and we look forward with pride to the medical advances that will be made at the Center - right here at Symphony Park in Las Vegas."
