Fourth of July Weekend Downtown

FRIDAY, JULY 1: Begin the weekend in the 18b Arts District at July's First Friday block party beginning at 6pm. Conclude with a cocktail at one of the Arts District's new urban lounges or make your way to the Fremont East District for after-parties, including the Get Back at Beauty Bar.

SATURDAY, JULY 2: For family-friendly fun, don't miss Red, White & Tunes at the Springs Preserve from 8 - 10pm. Guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs or blankets to the Springs Amphitheater to enjoy a performance by the UNLV Community Band. Food and drink is available for purchase. For more information and prices, visit http://www.springspreserve.org/.

Also on Saturday, at the Fremont Street Experience, Colin Hay of Men at Work performs as part of the Nina Blackwood's "Absolutely 80s" free concert series.  http://www.vegasexperience.com/.

SUNDAY, JULY 3:  Celebrate a great American pastime at Cashman Field: Las Vegas 51s baseball team hosts the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, followed by the traditional postgame Fireworks Extravaganza. Admission is $14. 7pm. Visit http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/index.jsp?sid=t400 for information and tickets.

MONDAY, JULY 4:  Cool off during the hot midday hours at The Tank - the Golden Nugget's $30 million pool complex complete with a
shark tank, a 3-story waterslide and 13 private cabanas. Stick around the Fremont Street Experience for a spectacular display later in the evening - the fireworks show on the overhead Viva Vision canopy created by 12.5 million LED modules spanning the length of more than five football fields is truly one-of-a-kind.
