Fremont Street is the center of downtown Las Vegas’ Halloween celebrations

Fremont Street is the center of downtown Las Vegas' Halloween celebrations throughout the month of October.

OktoberFrightFest
Fremont Street Experience hosts the third annual OktoberFrightFest, a month-long street party blending Oktoberfest and Halloween. Viva Vision light and sound shows are themed to songs such as "Time Warp" and "Monster Mash," while ongoing live performances throughout the month include Frank & The Steins, Alice and Ozzy's Frightmare and Vampire Rising. Outdoor bars offer beer and drink specials. The Golden Nugget holds its second annual Fall Beer Festival October 14 and 15, where guests enjoy food, authentic German music and a selection of hundreds of beers. and www.goldennugget.com.

Boneyard Bash
Just across Las Vegas Boulevard in the Fremont East Entertainment District, the Neon Museum hosts its first annual Boneyard Bash fundraiser on October 28 on the Jackie Gaughan Plaza. The Halloween-themed gala includes a live auction for items from UFC and local artist Tim Bavington. Guests will be treated to hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails, complimentary wine and beverages. Proceeds from the raffle and silent auction also raise funds for the Museum. Visit www.neonmuseum.org for details and tickets.

Zombie Precinct: Screamont East
Brave individuals ages 18 and older are invited to indulge in frightening fun at Zombie Precinct: Screamont East, a haunted-house attraction in the Fremont East Entertainment District, across from the El Cortez Hotel and Casino at the corner of Fremont and Seventh streets. The attraction runs October 14-16 and 19-31. Doors open at 6 pm nightly. The $12 admission fee helps support For Kids Now (www.forkidsnow.org), an organization assisting children and families affected by autism. Open to those ages 18+. For more information, visit www.zombieprecinct.com.

The Las Vegas Halloween Parade
The festivities culminate in the Las Vegas Halloween Parade on Monday, October 31 at 7 pm. Participation is free to anyone in costume, with the exception of advertisers. Costumed marchers gather at 6 pm on Hoover Street, one block north of Charleston Avenue and one block west of Las Vegas Boulevard. The parade travels along Fourth Street and ends on Ogden Avenue.
